(N/A) The value of $g$ is maximum at the poles.
Reasons:
$(i)$ The radius of the Earth is slightly smaller at the poles compared to the equator. Since $g = \frac{GM}{R^2}$,a smaller $R$ leads to a larger $g$.
$(ii)$ At the poles, the centrifugal force due to the Earth's rotation is zero, which means there is no reduction in the effective gravitational acceleration.

Imagine a new planet having the same density as that of the earth, but it is two times bigger than the earth in size (radius). If the acceleration due to gravity on the surface of the new planet is $g'$ and that on the surface of the earth is $g$, then:

$A$ body weighs $144 \, N$ at the surface of the earth. When it is taken to a height of $h = 3R$,where $R$ is the radius of the earth,it would weigh .......... $N$.

$A$ body has a weight of $90 \ kgf$ on the earth's surface. The mass of the moon is $1/9$ of the earth's mass and its radius is $1/2$ of the earth's radius. On the moon, the weight of the body is .......... $kgf$.
