(B) The kingdom $Protista$ includes organisms that exhibit diverse modes of nutrition. Specifically, members of the group $Euglenoids$ (e.g., $Euglena$) possess chlorophyll and perform photosynthesis in the presence of sunlight. However, in the absence of sunlight, they behave like heterotrophs by predating on other smaller organisms, similar to animals. This mixotrophic mode of nutrition is a characteristic feature of $Protista$.
