Vedclass · Answer

(B) Invertebrate chordates, also known as protochordates, are a group of animals that possess a notochord at some stage in their life cycle but lack a vertebral column. $Urochordata$ (tunicates) and $Cephalochordata$ (lancelets) are the two subphyla of $Protochordata$. However,in the context of multiple-choice questions where a single best answer is required,$Urochordata$ and $Cephalochordata$ are both invertebrate chordates. Given the options provided,$Urochordata$ is a classic example of an invertebrate chordate group.
