Provide general information about the fundamental particles of an atom.

What is a kernel in the context of atomic structure?

Electrons in a cathode ray tube have been emitted with a velocity of $1000 \, m \, s^{-1}$. The number of following statements which is/are true about the emitted radiation is
Given : $h = 6 \times 10^{-34} \, Js$,$m_{e} = 9 \times 10^{-31} \, kg$.
$(A)$ The de Broglie wavelength of the electron emitted is $666.67 \, nm$.
$(B)$ The characteristic of electrons emitted depend upon the material of the electrodes of the cathode ray tube.
$(C)$ The cathode rays start from cathode and move towards anode.
$(D)$ The nature of the emitted electrons depends on the nature of the gas present in cathode ray tube.

What are canal rays? Write their characteristics.

Which of the following statements is correct about the cathode rays?
$1$. These rays start from anode and move towards cathode.
$2$. They are visible with human eye.
$3$. In presence of electric and magnetic fields, they behave like positively charged particles.
$4$. Their characteristic does not depend on the nature of material at electrode.

The radius of a nucleus with mass number $A$ is given by $1.25 \times 10^{-13} \times A^{1/3} \ cm$. If the radius of the atom is $1 \ \mathring{A}$ and the mass number is $64$,calculate the fraction of the volume occupied by the nucleus.
