Vedclass · Answer

(A) When the growth movement of a plant part is towards the stimulus, it is known as $Positive \ tropism$. Conversely, if the growth movement is away from the stimulus, it is known as $Negative \ tropism$. $Geotropism$ refers specifically to growth in response to gravity, and $Chemotropism$ refers to growth in response to chemical stimuli. Therefore, the general term for growth towards a stimulus is $Positive \ tropism$.
