(B) The 'Dodo' ($Raphus$ $cucullatus$) was a flightless bird endemic to the island of Mauritius. It became extinct in the $17^{th}$ century primarily due to human activities. The main reason for its extinction was its extreme fearlessness towards humans and other introduced predators, which made it an easy target for hunting. Additionally, the destruction of its habitat and the introduction of invasive species like pigs, rats, and monkeys, which ate its eggs, contributed significantly to its rapid decline.
