$A$ point object emits rays in all directions. Consider a ray emitted from the object that is parallel to the principal axis of the mirror. One of the points required to trace the reflected ray is the point of incidence itself,as shown in the figure. Select a point from the given figure through which the reflected ray passes.

Two big mirrors $A$ and $B$ are fitted side by side on a wall. A man is standing at such a distance from the wall that he can see the erect image of his face in both the mirrors. When the man starts walking towards the mirrors, he finds that the size of his face in mirror $A$ goes on increasing, but that in mirror $B$ remains the same.

$(a)$ Draw a ray diagram in each of the following cases to show the position and nature of the image formed when an object is placed:
$(i)$ Between the focus and the centre of curvature of a concave mirror.
$(ii)$ Between the focus and the pole of a concave mirror.
$(iii)$ Between the centre of curvature and infinity for a concave mirror.
$(b)$ Give mathematical formulae for determining the magnification produced by a spherical mirror. What does $m = -1$ signify? Identify the mirror that can produce it.
